We reached Johor Bahru early, everything was quite smooth at the customs... Bought our food and headed off to Kota Tinggi in a cab... The drive was long and so we chatted a whole. Everything was going as planned until something happened... There were raindrops on the windscreen!!! And before we could say anything... Splash!!! The heavy storm just kept pouring... Die lah... Sure kena OWNED by the weather liao...Either we got to turn back or we DIE in the waterfall!!! EXCITING!!! But things turn good after a while... Just before we reach the resort entrance, the rain turn into a drizzle... LUCKY!!! But the clouds were still DARK and EVIL-LOOKING... As we alighted, the taxi driver asked if we had been here before... We said yes and the next moment, he sped off!!! Think the rain made him bonkers, he scared the storm will come back... SO did we!!! We STONED there for a moment to admire the DARK and EVIL-LOOKING clouds... I was checking for wind directions and thought it was blowing away from

our direction of climb, so we decided to carry on the climb. We walked under the opening near the bridge and head on to a path... Ony minutes into the walk, it started to rain so heavily that we were all steaming from our clothes... (Our body heat evaporating the water, then the rain so heavy... it's freezing...) took us quite a while to bash into the vegetation to the mouth of the waterfall... Then the 3 of us went on the route of the climb... Things were getting more wet and one of my dear fren, Vitia, didn't waterproof his bag!!! Argh!!! He got his passport and departure card all soaked!!! (Tip : If next time u go Malaysia for whatever reason, and for some stupid reason you got your passport wet... You may wan to try the excuse "Oh, i went to Kota Tinggi Waterfall..." when u go thru the customs...) The rocks were slippery and all the rain made things harder to see...

Actually among the 3 of us, me and another fren Brendan came before... So we did sufficent preparation, both on the equipment and mind. Vitia on the other hand wasn't expecting wat we went there for... Well, i did warn him about it, but he said he went up Grand Canyon which was much higher the this waterfalll, i guess he should be alright. You should have seen his face when we met up with the first rock face that we got to climb up... He was really dropping his jaws when he saw that, thinking "Oh how the hell am i going to get up there?" I wasn't much better... Vitia slipped and fell first then i slided down a rock surface while bouldering... Almost dropped over if not for my foot stopping against another piece of rock... Now got this NASTY wound up on my right knee cap... OUCH and man it really hurts... To make things worst, i got a small poke on my right ankle area and blood was just slowly flowing out... Tried all means to stop the bleeding, pressure, alcohol swab, dirt, even ash... That pinpoint puncture wound just kept flowing like the waterfall... Wat to do??? No

point sitting down in the middle of nowhere (and mind you, we were only halfway up the route) So we went on with me bleeding all the way up... Good thing the tigers there vegetarians... Because i was leaving a nice blood trail... They could have followed the trail to find us for dinner!!! Oh, I didn't mention there were tigers there??? =) We came back to the old campsite that we camped on the last trip. It's still the same old big pebble by the waterfall stream... The `jacuzzi' next to it was still as OWNING as the last time we tried it... =) YEAH!!! We took a break there before moving up to the larger waterfall above. The climb was steep and slippery... Fearing that something bad may happen, we took our own sweet time with the climb... And who knows, the summit campsite is only a 1 hr climb from the big pebble!!! We could have hit the

summit the last time... MAN!!! Really wasted that time, only if we knew... So that's why this trip was OWNING!!! We were so delighted when we got onto the campsite... =) But too bad there were only streams of water, no waterfall... (That means no jacuzzi!!! ARGH!!! =( ) We set up camp, pitch our tent and built a shelter for our cooking spot... We were having a BBQ on the top!!! The menu was as follows:-
Pre-Dinner Drink : Vodka Red Bull
Main Course : Teriyaki Chicken, Asam Fish, Black Pepper Hot Dogs, Otak, Breaded Fish Fillet, Butter and Herb Mashed Potato with Black Pepper Sauce
Dessert : You got to be kidding if you are wondering what we had for dessert!!! The main course already cannot finish liao...

The best thing was, there were a group of church frens who came up after us and the guys were collecting firewood when we were happliy barbequing... Think made them envy over our dinner... After that Vitia and Brendan when on talking while i tried to get some sleep... Spent countless late nights preparing so was exhuasted after dinner... But i couldn't sleep the whole night coz the `Happy Church Frens' were laughing and my ankle hurts like mad... Kept tossing and turning the whole night... There were some animals that night growling next to our tent. Me and Brendan heard it but can't be bothered to go check coz we dead
tired. Morning came on to us COLD!!! We were all freezing... I got up and took a walk around the campsite. Saw something i shouldn't see (For readers age 21 and above only, so please verify age.) Borrowed the gas stove from Angela... Thanks Angela... The stove was definitely the best thing. Breakfast was OWNING!!! We had Cold Ovaltine(Me), Kopi(Brendan and Vitia), Tuna Sandwich, and PANCAKES!!! Pancakes made with Pancake mix, milk and RAISIN!!! RAISIN PANCAKES served with AUSTRALIAN HONEY!!! OWNING!!! That was the breakfast of a lifetime, judging the fact that we came up thru a deadly course of slippery rocks and deep
trenches and eating on the summit of Pelepah on a cold morning... Better than just Jam and Bread right??? After Breakfast, we packed up sadly and made our way down... We stopped by the large waterfall for the `Natural Spa' we went there for and GOD that was good... The cold fast waters really massages your shoulders!!! Oh man, i didn't want to leave!!! =( We made our way down and back to JB for dinner at SUSHI King... Not very good thou, but who cares... Next stop, HOME!!!
